Cleaning/Replacing Air Filter

Time: 2-3 minutes

Many air filters can be cleaned periodically before they wear out. If your mower has a foam prefilter, you can gently soak it in soap and water, then let dry. Pleated air filters can be cleaned out with a quick shot of air from an air compressor. Replace the air filter at the recommended intervals outlined in your owner’s manual. See How to Replace the Air Filter.

Jack’s could have said always replace old air filers with new filters, but instead Jack’s explained how to clean existing filters. Way to go Jack’s! Of course at some point air filters can wear out and need to be replaced. Thanks.

You’re right. I have been cleaning air filters for my cars, lawn movers, trimmer, tree cutter, snow blower, but had not seen any tips from any dealer except now from Jack’s Small Engines. That makes feel better that what I have been doing is worth while for saving and the right things. Of course there is a time that can be no longer be saved a long the line.

Thanks you much, Jacks Small Engine, for your informative tips for all of us who are doing what we can just to save a little.

Love your tips. Keep them coming. Too many small engines go to the boneyard before their time.
