The safest way to remove the blade on your lawn mower is to use a blade lock tool.

This device easily clamps onto the side of the mower deck to prevent the blade from slipping and rotating as you remove and install a new mower blade. This video shows you how a blade lock tool works.

    Hi Keith, The most definitive symptom is it smoked when the fire was dying down. That means there is likely to be negative pressure in the room. With an active fire, the force of the hotter air rising defeats the negative pressure, but when the fire dies down the heat is so little the air flow reverses. The blowing could be wind adding smoke at opportune times.
